Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

1. Overview

At AlosTours, we strive to provide seamless expedition planning across North-East India. We recognize that travel plans can occasionally change. This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms under which cancellations and refunds are processed.

2. Standard Cancellation Timelines & Refunds

  • 30 Days or More Prior to Departure: Eligible for a 90% refund of the total tour fee (10% retained for administrative and booking processing costs).
  • 15 to 29 Days Prior to Departure: Eligible for a 50% refund of the tour fee.
  • 7 to 14 Days Prior to Departure: Eligible for a 25% refund.
  • Less than 7 Days / No-Show: Non-refundable. Pre-booked mountain permits (ILP/PAP), luxury eco-lodges, jeep safaris, and localized guide allocations are non-recoverable within this window.

3. Government Permits & Non-Refundable Levies

Fees paid for Inner Line Permits (ILP), Protected Area Permits (PAP), national park safari entry fees (e.g., Kaziranga, Manas), and special conservation taxes are strictly non-refundable once issued by government authorities.

4. Force Majeure & Weather Disruptions

In the event of severe weather emergencies, mountain landslides, road blockades, or government restrictions in remote North-East regions (such as Tawang or Lachung), AlosTours will prioritize traveler safety and offer flexible rescheduling options or itinerary modifications. Cash refunds for third-party operator services affected by force majeure are subject to respective partner vendor policies.

5. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days and credited back to the original payment method (bank account, credit/debit card, or UPI ID).
